This third issue of b.link centers around care and health – and what we can do in order to get more quality of life into this sector. It’s about the needs of elderly and ill people, it’s about dignity, perspectives and concrete help for day-to-day health care in clinics and senior citizens’ homes.
Why this concerns us all? Sooner or later, it will become personally relevant for each of us. And health will develop into a central economic factor soon. Demographic change with all its consequences, the integration of alternative medicine and holistic perspectives into the common thinking of society, the developments in biotechnology and the significance of psychosocial health – all this has already moved a lot. And the healthcare sector employed 4.4 million people in Germany in 2008 and was thus the largest industry employer …
