Great art is now on presentation right at Brunner’s doorstep: Until mid-March, the Museum Frieder Burda, Baden-Baden, presents a comprehensive retrospective exhibition of painter Georg Baselitz. His works have gained entry into the most important museums and collections. Beside the works of Sigmar Polke and Gerhard Richter, the paintings of Baselitz rank among the most expensive pictures of German provenance.

This exhibition with its nearly 80 paintings and numerous works on paper offers a profound insight into the idiosyncratic creativity of this subversive painter. Starting with his early provocative or even obscene works, moving on to his fragmented and newly integrated fracture paintings all the way to his remixes in which he re-interprets his earlier work in a contemporary manner, this showcase exhibition presents a wealth of impressive items. At the same time, the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden presents further paintings and sculptures by Baselitz.
