In the Interest of an Entire Industry:
Information, Consulting, Support

The event industry represents continual change comprehensive know-how, proactive information procurement and a resilient network are indispensable for this. A partner that has taken on this task is the European Association of Event Centers (EVVC).

The EVVC represents more than 560 event centers, Congress buildings, arenas and special event locations all over Europe. Planners and vendors like Brunner GmbH complement the service range, thus making the EVVC the most varied network in the industry. EVVC members benefit from this: thanks to this communication platform they get comprehensive information, consultation and support.

The service comprises elementary areas like marketing, jurisdiction and technology just like the development of up-to-date industry benchmarks and of course continued education within the industry. Naturally, members can benefit from all the experiences exchanged within the network.
That the EVVC counts on Brunner is proven by the example of the Congress Palais Kassel-City Hall, where 18 halls and conference rooms for up to 2,700 people have been fitted out in first class style – with the chair model kassel, that brunner developed specifically for this building. A splendid example of successful and target-oriented co-operation.

Stimulation and responsibility
A prerequisite for membership within the EVVC is the economically successful operation of city halls, sports arenas or multipurpose halls or similar locations independent of their size. Even natural persons from the event industry can under certain conditions become associate members.

Increasing competitive pressure calls for continuous quailty improvement. As a stimulation for the competition within the industry, the EVVC has created the “EVVC Awards”. This prize is being awarded annually in the categories of “Best Center”, “Best Own Event”, and “Social Responsibility”. The latter topic is particularly close to the heart of the association: ecology, e-commerce and social matters are definite elements of the event schedule for example at the “GreenMeetings and Events” in Bonn or at the Difu-Symposium (Difu=Deutsches Institut für Urbanistik German Institute of Urban Affairs) in Berlin. This is why the presentation of alite, one of the latest new developments by Brunner, attracted so much interest: a chair that can be separated into all its materials and is thus 100% recyclable. “The topic of sustainability will be an intensely discussed topic for the association in the years to come,” says Joachim König, president of the EVVC and Director of the Hanover Congress Center.
