back.ground
1. How do you start your working day?
With the first task of the day – and that’s always different.
2. What makes a working day successful for you?
That’s a day when I can manage to solve problems and launch new projects, above all a day when customers tell me things like: “Thank you very much for the competent, reliable consulting, we truly feel that with your company, we’re in good hands!”

- Holger Wagner is the Managing Director of Wagner Objekteinrichtungen GmbH – the company has been working successfully for more than 40 years, furnishing public and social areas.
3. What do you do for lunch?
When I’m not in a meeting, I drive home to my wife and kids so we can have lunch together.
4. What do you love most about your job or your workplace?
The variety of interesting challenges and the contact with many different groups of people (constructors, architects, employees, users, vendors).
And it is always a source of contentment and motivation for me when we’re able to increase the living and working quality of the users with our comfortable, functional and high quality furnishing concepts.
5. How many people do you talk to every day during your work time?
About 30.
6. If you had one wish: what would you change about your workplace?
II’d like to move it to a lakeshore, or into the woods ☺ !
7. Your working day is long and demanding. Where do you find the motivation to go to the office every day?
The opportunity to move something. Every day offers new tasks in and around the company as well as in individual projects. It is a daily stimulation to push forward the development of our company, because hardly a quotation is more appropriate than this one: “The day you stop wanting to get better is the day you start getting worse.” We want to always get better and that’s what I like to work for!
8. Is there a Brunner product that has particularly impressed you? And why?
That’s a difficult question given the quality and quantity of the product portfolio – but I’m particularly partial to the milanosoft, because its high-quality looks give this little extra something to a lot of our projects, and because thanks to its excellent seating comfort it is the reason for extended mealtimes at my own dinner table ☺ !
9. If there is something that gets you angry during your work day – what makes you happy again?
Romping around with my kids in the evening, alternatively riding my bike or jogging in the woods.
10. Is there a ritual with which you end your working day?
No.
11. There is a large choice of furniture manufacturers – why do you work with Brunner?
Because the products fit us well and they fit our customers well – high product quality, good design and always an excellent seating comfort, which is especially important in senior citizen and handicapped care facilities as well as in hospitals, i.e. in our core markets.
Also, the prices are very in line with the market, and the support is exemplary. That becomes obvious whenever a situation arises: complicated special customer demands, tight deadlines, etc. – Brunner always makes things possible, thus making it easier for us to be successful!
12. Talking about corporate philosophy: which of your own values do you see reflected at Brunner?
- Creativity and the power of innovation
- Respectability and fairness
- Continuity and sustainability
- A high sense of quality and reliability
- Outstanding customer orientation
- Industriousness
